Coming this Summer — The stories of the most controversial generation ever

Okay. We don’t know if we’re the MOST controversial, but people definitely have a lot to say about Millennials.

Class of 2000 is a vlog and podcast where we talk about the American generation born between 1981 and 1997 and try to figure out why so many people hate us. We’re gonna laugh, yell, and cry our way into discovering the mystery of Millennial angst and how avocado toast became so popular. Oh, we’re also gonna drown ourselves in the nostalgia of 90s throwbacks to understand the Millennial psyche, like, how we can’t help but think of Seinfeld whenever we get in a bathroom stall. We’ll also tackle controversial topics, such as, why Backstreet Boys is better than NSYNC.

A crazy number of our episodes happen against the backdrop of David Douglas High School, located in Portland, Oregon. We interview a ton of people we went to high school with, and we ask them questions like, “At what point did you realize you screwed up your life, and what part of 90s culture helped get you here?”

Our Hosts.

Pete.

Probably peaked in high school, Pete is the creator and host of Class of 2000. He was born to Vietnam War Refugees in Portland, Oregon, and is a proud alumnus of the David Douglas High School Class of 2000. He’s been married for 15 years and has four kiddos. He currently serves in the U.S. military on active duty, mostly on purpose.

Erin.

Erin is a co-host and the producer of Co2K. She was voted “Most Likely to Be President of the United States” by the David Douglas High School Class of 2000. Spoiler alert: She isn’t (yet), but did work on a presidential campaign in 2020. She’s the daughter of two career elementary school teachers and is still trying to prove that everyone can make a difference. She owns a strategy firm where she advises leaders, their teams and has definitely failed more than she’s succeeded.

Mike.

Matador. Bounty Hunter. Demiurge. In addition to being a co-host and music producer for the show, Mike Lewis (not that one) is a warrior, musician, polyglot and true 80s baby from Louisville, Kentucky. He is a bonafide genius who has been hit by at least three cars while on foot. When he and his wife of 14 years aren’t trotting the globe searching for lost treasure, they enjoy high exotic foods, scuba diving, and the occasional monster truck rally. GO COLTS!
